Hello Fellow Stampers and welcome to my blog. Hope you are having a blessed day!! Over the next week due to personnel activities (my daughter and granddaughter are coming to live withus at the end of the month and so excited). I’ll only be able to post projects we are doing this month in class and if I can get their rooms done this weekend I can get back to filming. Thank you in advance for your understanding.
Here is a fathers day card featuring the DSP “In Good Taste”… I love, love , love this paper. The card is simple and I did cheat a little I’m using the retired large alphabet dies. But the good news is you can duplicate this card using the new dies in the catalog look below for product recommendations and measurements.
Products used today
Card Bases 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″ Run 1/2 the card base through the die with the Hammered Metal 3-D Embossing folder next take a strip of smoky slate large enough for the letters and run it through the embossing folder as well. Next cut the DSP in strips of 1/2″ x 6″ enough to cover the card as shown. Then using a sponger go over the embossed areas of the card and the letters with smoky slate to give the rustic appearnce. Use the black mini dimentionals to adhere the lettering as shown. Cut a 4″ x 5-1/4″ shimmery white card stock for the greeting inside. I also used a strip of the DSP along one side of the inside piece.
